Luxury Design: A Truly Royal Style
The villa and surrounding gardens were designed by top architect and award winning designer Dor Confino. The villa is furnished with genuine antique pieces combined with satin curtains and lighting befitting a 19th Century European villa. Designed in Victorian style, Villa Raphael is a combination of antique French, Scandinavian, English and Belgian décor, white lace linens, matching porcelain crockery, paintings, antique mirrors, crystal chandeliers, and Danish brass lamps from the 19th century.
The living room and dining areas
The living room is equipped with a “Chesterfield” sofa that opens into a double bed, antique English coffee table and delicate round French side table in the Louis XV style, dating from the 1930′s. a cozy fireplace with two small round French velvet armchairs gives the room a romantic atmosphere. The indoor dining area includes a Danish extendable table, chairs and sideboard in the Chippendale style. The living room opens on to a white painted wooden deck with an outdoor dining area overlooking the swimming pool.
The kitchen
The kitchen is decorated in antique style, cream colored, and overlooks the swimming pool and garden. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, toaster, kettle, hob, cooking utensils and porcelain crockery. An antique brass lamp hangs down from the ceiling and a vintage 1950s gold framed mirror with shelf ornaments the wall. The ambiance is complete with a voile curtain at the window.
The Bedrooms
Bedroom 1- The Crystal Suite:
A magnificent Scandinavian bed in the Louis XV style stands opposite a mirrored wall and on either side of it, two 19th Century French rosewood bedside cabinets. Two night lamps decorated with titanium angels stand atop the cabinets and an original portrait of an aristocratic lady looks down from above. The room also has an antique English wardrobe dating from 1856, and a tapestry armchair from Belgium in the Louis XV style. The room is equipped with an LCD television and DVD.
Bedroom 2- The Lovers’ Suite:
A spectacular bedroom furnished with a French antique four-poster bed, covered by a regal canopy made of voile, matching side cabinets decorated with brass, an English wardrobe dating from 1856, an antique mirror from Denmark and English piano stool. This bedroom has an LCD television and DVD.
The Sun Room and pool area
The Sun room consists of a spa with indoor/outdoor Jacuzzi for both summer and winter beneath a transparent roof, soft white curtains for relaxation, meditation and sunbathing. The magical courtyard awaits you with a private swimming pool, a seating area with sun beds and white sunshades. A refreshing waterfall welcomes you as you enter the courtyard. The pool is surrounded by fruit trees, fresh herb garden and ancient jars overflowing with seasonal flowers. In the evenings a relaxing westerly wind blows in from the sea and provides for the most relaxing experience.
